The duplicitious Donk's
Wasn't it all during the run-up to the '04 elections that the Donk's were whining about "Cowboy Diplomacy" and "failure to consult with our allies" how J. F'n Kerry would be able to sway the French and the German's etc etc.
For right or wrong GW tapped the EU to deal with the Iranian nuclear issue. Predictably it was a complete cluster-fuck.
Now that time has just about run out on the Iranian issue, the Donk's now want the US to act unilaterally and without a huggy-kissy coalition of our 'allies' (those that maintain trade relationships with Iran).

Las Vegas SUN: Reid blasts Bush during Reno visit: "RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid.
Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program.
'It is hard to comprehend,' Reid said Tuesday in Reno. 'We should be involved at trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution. ... Not just these three countries.'"
