Weak and feeble response from State (again)
When Chavez finishes his alignment with Iran, AQ, and the rest of the standard back actors, the US is going to be in a world of hurt.
Rather than squishing this cockroach while he si a minor pain. The US will wait until he has aligned most of the S. American countries into an anti-US bock. When we start getting Hispanic terrorism, then that will certainly be an interesting day.
CNN.com - U.S. kicks out Venezuelan envoy in tit-for-tat move - Feb 3, 2006: "WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States on Friday ordered a Venezuelan diplomat to leave after the government of President Hugo Chavez expelled a U.S. naval attache for alleged espionage.

U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Jeny Figueredo Frias, whom he identified as chief of staff to the Venezuelan ambassador, was declared persona non grata and given 72 hours to leave the United States.

On Thursday, Chavez had said that Venezuela was expelling naval attache John Correa for allegedly passing secret information from Venezuelan military officers to the Pentagon.

McCormack said the U.S. action was a direct response to Correa's expulsion.

'We don't like to get into tit-for-tat games with the Venezuelan government like this, but they initiated this and we were forced to respond,' he said."
