The Religion of Murder and Torture: Justice (?) edition.
Middle East Times: "ABIDJAN -- A Paris gang leader was arrested overnight in Abidjan and has confessed to the kidnap, torture and murder of a young French Jewish man, Ivorian investigators said on Thursday, in a case that has horrified France.

Youssouf Fofana, 25, who fled to Ivory Coast shortly after the dying Ilan Hamili was found on February 11, could be extradited back to France by the end of the day, according to French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.

'He has French nationality. He has been arrested by the Ivorian police. [French] police investigators are on the scene, so we believe he could be repatriated to France in the coming hours,' Villepin told Canal Plus television, referring to Fofana. 'This is an odious crime, and it is therefore important that justice be rapidly carried out,' he said. "

El Khabar: "In an interview to El Khabar, former British Labour Party MP, George Galloway considered the Arab Magreb countries as being under US umbrella. He indicated that US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld sought, through his last visit to Arab Magreb countries, to convince them to sent forces to Iraq to save America from the sticky wicket in which they put themselves in, there.
Galloway asked president Bouteflika not to accept the American offer because the Algerian people has historical relations with Iraqi people... in case Bouteflika accepted the US proposal, Bouteflika would have committing its biggest mistake in his life, he said.
The speaker affirmed he was not surprised by the cartoons the Danish newspaper published... for the west has started a series of attacks against Islam, some years ago.
They began by insult, then military occupation and now they are offending the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH). This incident is more serious than the 9/11 attacks on the US and those of London.
Muslims so have the right to express their anger and to defend themselves and their religion, George Galloway affirms adding that Denmark is the only country in Europe, and in the world, where there is still racism. Emigration system in that country is the worst, besides, there is no single mosque in Denmark, he notes.
George Galloway said the controversial cartoons are detrimental to prophet Mohamed (PBUH), and considered a real insult against Islam and Muslims that he highly condemned, pointing out that the west seeks to take hold of Muslim's oil, whatever the price."

BBC NEWS | World | Africa | Sudan man forced to 'marry' goat: "Mr Alifi, Hai Malakal in Upper Nile State, told the Juba Post newspaper that he heard a loud noise around midnight on 13 February and immediately rushed outside to find Mr Tombe with his goat.

'When I asked him: 'What are you doing there?', he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up'.

Mr Alifi then called elders to decide how to deal with the case.

'They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife,' Mr Alifi told the newspaper. "

Wired 14.03: START: "Cofounder Yet-Ming Chiang, a materials science professor, succeeded in shrinking to nanoscale the particles that coat the battery's electrodes and store and discharge energy. The results are electrifying: Power density doubles, peak energy jumps fivefold (the cells pack more punch than a standard 110-volt wall outlet), and recharging time plummets. Going nano also solves a safety problem. Regular high-capacity Li-ion batteries tend to explode under severe stress, like if they're dropped from a ladder."

Weak and ready to collapse. The next Islamist stronghold.
BREITBART.COM - Philippines President Declares Emergency: "President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared a state of emergency Friday as she struggled against a reported coup plot and a possible repeat of the protests that ousted two of her predecessors.

The announcement came after the military said a general had been arrested in connection with a coup plot and as people defied a ban on rallying at a shrine of the 1986 revolt that ousted Ferdinand Marcos. Clashes erupted as police tried to disperse the protesters.

Arroyo said her action was the result of ongoing efforts by the political opposition, along with both the extreme left and the extreme right, to bring down the elected government.

'I am declaring a state of emergency because of the clear threat to the nation,' a defiant Arroyo said in a taped, nationally televised statement."

Will the last Jew to leave France turn off the light
With a never ending spate of terror attacks targeted at France's Jewish community. French Jews have been emigrating at an ever increasing pace. Not that I honestly think the French will shed a tear for the loss of their Jewish community. Having them leave on their own will save this generation's Vichy the hassle of rounding up and turning their Jews over to their soon to be Islamist Overlords.

The ironic thing is that the Jewish community added to the culture of France (books, science, music, etc). The new Vichy have traded that for a festering wound of racist terror wannabe's who do not contribute, nor do they assimilate.
As asp clutched to the bosom of France.
title: "PARIS - The French police arrested late Thursday night most of the members of the gang that abducted, tortured and murdered Ilan Halimi, a 23-year-old Jew from Paris.

Hundreds of SWAT officers raided apartments in Bagneux and arrested 12 people. Another suspect was arrested in Belgium.

'They acted with indescribable cruelty,' the judiciary police chief leading the investigation said. 'They kept him naked and tied up for weeks. They cut him and in the end poured flammable liquid on him and set him alight.'

While the citizens of France were shocked by the unbridled violence of the gang, Halimi's family claims that the murder was motivated by anti-Semitism.

'We think there is anti-Semitism in this affair,' Rafi Halimi, Ilan's uncle, told the press.

'First, because the killers tried to kidnap at least two other Jews, and second, because of what they said on the phone,' Rafi Halimi added. 'When we said we didn't have 500,000 euros to give them they told us to go to the synagogue and get it,' Rafi said. 'They also recited verses from the Koran.' "

TheStar.com - Time running out on Canada's Hercules planes: "OTTAWA—Old age has claimed another Hercules transport aircraft — considered the lifelines for Canadian troops abroad — fuelling fears the military may soon 'fall flat on its face' when called on to respond to an international crisis, experts say.

Air force officials confirm that for the second time in the past year, they've taken a decades-old Hercules out of service because it has 'run out of hours,' meaning it cannot fly without a costly, time-consuming retrofit to its airframe.

The military also expects two more Hercules, also known as C-130s, will be grounded for the same reason over the coming year, leaving just 28 of the transports for flying duties at home and abroad.

Already, the Canadian Forces rely on leased civilian transports to ferry the tonnes of supplies needed by Canadian troops in Afghanistan.

Deterioration of the Hercules fleet only adds to the pressure on the new Conservative government to find a replacement for the venerable C-130s, and fast."

Let them all face the Jihadi HeadChoppers on their own and let's see how well that turns out.
I am rapidly losing faith in the US's ability to effectively manage Iraq. Hampered by the tiny darts of endless opposition to the War, the US's momentum seems to be waning.
As for those little trumped up turban wearing savages; They should be thanking the US troops on a daily basis who through their blood keep these ungrateful barbarians safe.
How long would Karbala last without the US shield, one could hope that the US force commander would make an 'example' out of Karbala and leave them to the tender mercies of the headchopping pigfucking Jihadi's.

ABC News: Iraqi Province Cuts Off U.S. Forces: "KARBALA, Iraq Feb 20, 2006 (AP)— The governing council of Karbala province said Monday it was suspending contact with U.S. forces over the behavior of soldiers during a visit to the governor's office two days ago.

The decision followed similar moves by leaders of Maysan and Basra provinces, which have frozen ties with British forces in southern Iraq.

Karbala provincial spokesman Abdel Amir Hanoun complained that U.S. soldiers brought dogs inside the building when their commander visited provincial Gov. Aqeel al-Khazraji, considered an insult by the council.

They also blocked roads leading to the governor's office, preventing council members and the governor from parking cars outside the building, Hanoun said. The governor instructed the council to suspend contacts until U.S. forces apologize, he said.

The Karbala council is controlled by the Supreme Council of Islamic Revolution in Iraq, the country's largest Shiite party, and Dawa, the party of Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari"

Soon to be Dictator for Life, Chavez lay's the groundwork for the final abolition of Democracy in S. America.
Venezuela`s Chavez may seek stay in office: "CARACAS, Venezuela (UPI) -- Venezuela`s president, already running for another term this year, he may let voters decide whether he should be able to run for re-election in 2012.

In a six-hour, weekly TV show Hugo Chavez rebutted U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice`s assertion that the populist leader is a danger to Latin America.

The BBC reports Chavez -- elected to office in 1998 and 2000 and the survivor of a 2002 coup attempt he said the United States played a hand in -- is seeking re-election this year and wouldn`t be allowed to run for office when his term expires in 2012.

He is floating the idea of a referendum to see if voters want to skirt the constitutional ruling and keep him in office."

MiamiHerald.com | 02/21/2006 | Carter backs Bush's stand on seaport-operations deal: "But he got a boost Monday from an unlikely source, frequent critic and former president Jimmy Carter, who downplayed fears that the deal poses a risk.

''The overall threat to the United States and security, I don't think it exists,'' Carter said on CNN's The Situation Room. ``I'm sure the president's done a good job with his subordinates to make sure this is not a threat.''"

Jay Tea lays our Sharia and the fate for those trapped under it's weight.

Wizbang: "Yesterday, I caught a bit of flak (and a whole lot more support when I tossed off a line at the end of a posting where I implied that I thought Sharia law was uncivilized. That was an error I deeply regret.

I should have said it explicitly.

I believe any legal system that permits a man to complete a divorce by reciting 'woman, I divorce you' three times, but gives no such option -- in fact, hardly any option -- to the woman is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that gives women almost no say in who they marry, when they marry, is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that makes such private, consensual acts as homosexuality, adultery, and fornication capital offenses is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that includes such penalties as physical maiming is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that requires an allegation of rape to be supported by at least two male witnesses is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that punishes women who claim to be raped, but do not provide those two witnesses, to have confessed to adultery or fornication and punishes them as above is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that values the rights and testimony of the adherents of one faith over others is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that mandates women to cover as much of themselves when in public is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that mandates women be accompanied at all times by a male relative is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that mandates adult women of any age need their male guardian's permission for ANYTHING is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that presumes that men are filled with uncontrollable lusts that can be unleashed by the slightest provocation by a woman is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that blames the woman for provoking those lusts in a man is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that is based purely on the tenets of a religion, and mandates that all must obey those tenets regardless of their beliefs, is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that says men may marry outside the faith, but women cannot, is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that tolerates "female circumcision" -- the removal of the clitoris and, occasionally, other tissue -- is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that makes apostasy -- leaving one's faith -- a crime and punishes it with death is uncivilized.

I believe any legal system that punishes those who proselytize any faith besides Islam, and rewards those who promote it, is uncivilized.

Again, I apologize for any confusion that I may have caused."

The Religion of Peaceful Co-Existence. Law-fare edition
The Islamist fullcourt press against the West continues.
In no other country (except the multi-culti infected West) would an immigrant expect their host to abandon all principles that guide their society. So that the tender sensitivities of the widdle Muslims won't be offended.
Muslims may sue over cartoons: "The head of Calgary's Muslim community is considering a civil lawsuit against two local publishers for reprinting controversial Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad -- images that have sparked deadly riots overseas.

Syed Soharwardy, president of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada, said the cartoons have caused Muslims in Calgary, and worldwide, unnecessary stress and heartache.

'We are, on Monday, going to see lawyers. We will try to find out if there is a possibility to have a civil lawsuit. That's what we're going to explore,' Soharwardy said Sunday.

'We see these cartoons as racist. We see these cartoons as hurtful, and we see these cartoons as against our religion. There has been damages towards the Muslim community for their losing their peace of mind, and creating stress on people's heart.'"

Remember kiddies, it's only a hate crime if the victim is a minority. If these had been 'black' churches it would be 24/7 media frenzy
'Bosom buddies' suspected as 10th church set on fire: "'It's definitely arson,'' said Ragan Ingram, a spokesman for the state fire marshal's office, which was investigating whether the fire was connected to the other blazes that have destroyed or damaged nine churches since Feb. 2.

Saturday's fire was the only one that wasn't set in the pre-dawn hours.

Investigators have said they don't know a motive, but there is no racial pattern. Five of the churches had white congregations and five black. All were Baptist, the dominant faith in the region.

Last week, Gov. Bob Riley said the nine earlier church fires appear linked, as investigators checked out witness reports of two men in a sport utility vehicle near a number of the fires."

Doing it to ourselves. If we won't take a stand here, what will be do when the wolf is at our door?
Toon-deaf Europe is taking the wrong stand: "If I were a Muslim, I'd be 'hurt' and 'humiliated' that the revered prophet's name is given not to latex blowup males but to so many real blowup males: The leader of the 9/11 plotters? Mohammed Atta. The British Muslim who self-detonated in a Tel Aviv bar? Asif Mohammed Hanif. The gunman who shot up the El Al counter at LAX? Heshamed Mohamed Hedayet. The former U.S. Army sergeant who masterminded the slaughter at the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania? Ali Mohamed. The murderer of Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh? Mohammed Bouyeri. The notorious Sydney gang rapist? Mohammed Skaf. The Washington sniper? John Allen Muhammed. If I were a Muslim, I would be deeply offended that the prophet's name is the preferred appellation of so many killers and suicide bombers on every corner of the earth.

But apparently that's not as big a deal as Mustafa Shag."

The Islamists 'own' the streets of France. Police fear to tread.
¡No Pasarán!: Islamic Protestors in Paris Come Face to Face with an Unexpected Counter-Protest: "'I will show you my ID 10 meters from here' says the plainclothes cop. 'They are going to lynch you!' she adds, as she leads us into another street (in the movie taken by our valiant camera team, you can briefly see her wearing a brown coat, right after a bearded guy in white cap and tan jacket says 'They are provoking us' and the camera turns).

'Sons of adultery!' 'Hey, you two sons of the whore!' Uniformed policemen join us and start rushing us, more and more quickly down the street (I don't want to run, I tell them), with a growing crowd quickening their steps. A police van's door opens. 'Go! Go!' shouts a policeman to the driver, 'Foncez!' as sirens wail and the van rushes ahead.

'Are you out of your minds?!' ask the two officers. 'Do you know how many of them there were?!' 'Somebody's got to stand up for free speech', replies the French protestor."

Impact Lab - Microwave-Drill Technology: "he drill bit is a needle-like antenna that emits intense microwave radiation. The microwaves create a hot spot around the bit, melting or softening the material so that the bit can be pushed in.

But the drill can't bore through everything effectively. Sapphire's melting point, for instance, is too high. And steel conducts heat too well for a hot spot to develop. But the device works fine on rocks and concrete. In fact, the heat may even strengthen holes' walls in ceramics by welding together the fine grains in the material.

To use the drill, workers would have to be shielded from the intense microwave radiation it produces. The inventors claim that a simple shielding plate put in front of the drill bit is enough to meet common safety standards. "

  Dhimni at KFI
Chalk up another win for the terror apologists and head of the US 5th Column movement at CAIR.

With the bit firmly between their teeth the asshats at CAIR are knocking down media figure after media figure. Employer after employer. Proving that ethic-religious victimology trumps free-speech everytime.

It's a tragic shame that corporate media masters don't have the stones to support their employee's in the face of open intimidation and racial demagogory.

To put things in short simple terms:

Handel you are a pussy.

Clear Channel you suck, rolling over and showing your belly in the face of domestic Islamist agression/intimidation is disgusting and pathetic.
KFI Host, Clear Channel Apologize To Muslims: "After attracting world-wide attention, Clear Channel talk KFI Los Angeles morning man Bill Handel and Clear Channel have apologized to Muslims for comments Handel made on his Jan. 12 show.

The Southern California office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced that Handel and the station have apologized for mocking the deaths of Muslims on Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca. Handel has also been reprimanded in writing by the station for his 'insensitive remarks.'

As previously reported, CAIR had demanded that Handel apologize and be disciplined. "

The Jooooooo's are behind the Bird Flu according to the geniuses in Syria
Ynetnews - News - Syria: Israel behind bird flu: "he state-run Syrian daily al-Thawra lately hinted that Israel developed the bird flu virus to harm the genes of its Arab neighbors.

An article published by the newspaper argues that Israel spread the virus in the Far East to mislead the world.

The newspaper backed its suspicions by citing a 1998 report in the Sunday Times that Israel is developing a biological “ethnic bomb” that would kill Arabs and not Jews.

According to the Times, Israeli scientists are trying to identify genes characteristic to Arabs and then develop viruses that attack these genes. The newspaper said the program is being carried out at the Institute for Biological Research in Nes Tsiona near Tel Aviv.

“The question being asked today is whether the virus chosen by the Zionist for their ‘ethnic bomb’ is bird flu?” the newspaper wrote."

My Way News: "BEIJING (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc. provided evidence to Chinese authorities that led to the imprisonment of an Internet writer, lawyers and activists said on Thursday, the second such case involving the U.S. Internet giant.

The latest storm over Western Internet companies in China comes just weeks after Web search giant Google Inc. came under fire for saying it would block politically sensitive terms on its new China site, bowing to conditions set by Beijing.

Writer and veteran activist Liu Xiaobo said Yahoo had co-operated with Chinese police in a case that led to the 2003 arrest of Li Zhi, who was charged with subverting state power and sentenced to eight years in prison after trying to join the dissident China Democracy Party.

Yahoo gave public security agents details of Li's registration as a Yahoo user, Liu said in an article posted on U.S.-based Chinese-language news portal Boxun, citing a defense statement from Li's lawyers.

A spokeswoman for Yahoo said the company was looking into the matter.

'As in most jurisdictions, governments are not required to inform service providers why they are seeking certain information and typically do not do so,' spokeswoman Mary Osako said.

'We would not know whether a demand for information focused on murder, kidnapping or another crime,' she said by phone from California, adding Yahoo thought the Internet was a positive force in China.

But media watchdog Reporters Without Borders said the argument that Yahoo simply responds to requests from authorities did not hold water."

Boehner Rents Apartment Owned by Lobbyist in D.C.: "Rep. John A. Boehner (R-Ohio), who was elected House majority leader last week, is renting his Capitol Hill apartment from a veteran lobbyist whose clients have direct stakes in legislation Boehner has co-written and that he has overseen as chairman of the Education and the Workforce Committee.

The relationship between Boehner, John D. Milne and Milne's wife, Debra R. Anderson, underscores how intertwined senior lawmakers have become with the lobbyists paid to influence legislation. Boehner's primary residence is in West Chester, Ohio, but for $1,600 a month, he rents a two-bedroom basement apartment near the House office buildings on Capitol Hill owned by Milne, Boehner spokesman Don Seymour said yesterday. Boehner's monthly rent appears to be similar to other rentals of two-bedroom English basement apartments close to the House side of the Capitol in Southeast, based on a review of apartment listings.

Milne's clients -- including restaurant chains and health insurance companies -- hired him to lobby on issues at the heart of Boehner's work, including minimum-wage increases, small-business tax breaks and tax-free savings accounts to help cover insurance costs, congressional lobbying records show.

In the weeks preceding last week's GOP leadership elections, Boehner acknowledged his close ties to the lobbying community, but he assured Republican lawmakers that all of his relationships were ethical and he campaigned on a platform of change and reform. Seymour reiterated that message last night.

'John Milne does not lobby John Boehner on any issue and has not lobbied him on any issue during the time period in which John has been renting the property,' he said."

US News Article | Reuters.com: "NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Shortcomings in aid from the U.S. government are making New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin look to other nations for help in rebuilding his hurricane-damaged city.

Nagin, who has hosted a steady stream of foreign dignitaries since Hurricane Katrina hit in late August, says he may seek international assistance because U.S. aid has not been sufficient to get the city back on its feet.

'I know we had a little disappointment earlier with some signals we're getting from Washington but the international community may be able to fill the gap,' Nagin said when a delegation of French government and business officials passed through on Friday to explore potential business partnerships.

Jordan's King Abdullah also visited New Orleans on Friday and Nagin said he would encourage foreign interests to help redevelop some of the areas hardest hit by the storm.

'France can take Treme. The king of Jordan can take the Lower Ninth Ward,' he said, referring to two of the city's neighborhoods."

Dogg Bites Man: Shooting at Rap Video, ahem shoot
News Story - NCBuy: "A star-studded music video shoot was interrupted by gunfire that killed a bodyguard for rapper Busta Rhymes, police said.

Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and G-Unit members including Lloyd Banks were scheduled to be filming on a ninth-floor soundstage when violence erupted outside the Brooklyn building early Sunday, said police Sgt. Kevin Farrell.

Israel Ramirez, 29, was killed with a single shot to the chest, Farrell said.

Some 500 people were gathered for the Busta Rhymes video, and it was unclear how many had been outside when shots were fired.

Investigators took possession of a nearby parked car that was hit by the gunfire. They were still trying to determine early Monday what led to the violence, Farrell said."

  Our divided foriegn policy
I had hopes for Condi after she took over State. However, that was rather short lived. You have DOD able to recognize a threat, with State, aching to suckle the unit of Chavez.
ABC News: Rumsfeld Likens Chavez's Rise to Hitler: "WASHINGTON Feb 3, 2006 — Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld likened Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Adolf Hitler, reflecting continuing tension in relations between the United States and the Latin American government.

Rumsfeld, asked during a National Press Club appearance Thursday about indications of a deteriorating general relationship between Washington and parts of Latin America, said he believes such a characterization 'misses the mark.'

'We saw dictatorships there. And then we saw most of those countries, with the exception of Cuba, for the most part move towards democracies,' he said. 'We also saw corruption in that part of the world. And corruption is something that is corrosive of democracy.'"

Weak and feeble response from State (again)
When Chavez finishes his alignment with Iran, AQ, and the rest of the standard back actors, the US is going to be in a world of hurt.
Rather than squishing this cockroach while he si a minor pain. The US will wait until he has aligned most of the S. American countries into an anti-US bock. When we start getting Hispanic terrorism, then that will certainly be an interesting day.
CNN.com - U.S. kicks out Venezuelan envoy in tit-for-tat move - Feb 3, 2006: "WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States on Friday ordered a Venezuelan diplomat to leave after the government of President Hugo Chavez expelled a U.S. naval attache for alleged espionage.

U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Jeny Figueredo Frias, whom he identified as chief of staff to the Venezuelan ambassador, was declared persona non grata and given 72 hours to leave the United States.

On Thursday, Chavez had said that Venezuela was expelling naval attache John Correa for allegedly passing secret information from Venezuelan military officers to the Pentagon.

McCormack said the U.S. action was a direct response to Correa's expulsion.

'We don't like to get into tit-for-tat games with the Venezuelan government like this, but they initiated this and we were forced to respond,' he said."

  The United States of Dhimni

Having read the official position of the United States government regarding ‘sensitivity’ versus free-speech, I for one am disgusted with the snivling belly-crawling tripe being served up by the State Dept.

You have papers all over Europe willing to finally take a positive stand on the Islamist issue and you yank the rug out from under those Europeans not so ridden with socialist apathy that they actually took a stand in the face of Islamist aggression.

At one fell swoop the US could have co-opted all of Europe into taking a side, and the US chooses to back the ravening hordes of 7th century fanatics eager to burn civilization to the foundations.

It’s been obvious for years that the State Department has an independent agenda from the Executive Branch.

Way to sell out and squander our best chance of bringing all the actors out onto the same stage at the same time, and ending this farce.

Do you think that EU countries are going to more willing to support the US after we leave them twisting in the breeze, alone?

Shame on you, Shame.

BREITBART.COM - US blasts cartoons of Prophet Mohammed: "The United States blasted the publication by European newspapers of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed as unacceptable incitement to religious or ethnic hatred.

'These cartoons are indeed offensive to the beliefs of Muslims,' State Department spokesman Justin Higgins said when queried about the furore sparked by the cartoons which first appeared in a Danish newspaper.

'We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression but it must be coupled with press responsibility,' Higgins told AFP."

US sides with Muslims in cartoon dispute - Yahoo! News: "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Washington on Friday condemned caricatures in European newspapers of the Prophet Mohammad, siding with Muslims who are outraged that the publications put press freedom over respect for religion.

By inserting itself into a dispute that has become a lightning rod for anti-European sentiment across the Muslim world, the United States could help its own battered image among Muslims.

'We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression but it must be coupled with press responsibility. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds in this manner is not acceptable.'"

'American' actors cashing in on anti-American fervor in Turkey
TKS on National Review Online: "In the most expensive Turkish movie ever made, American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother.

They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv.

Valley of the Wolves Iraq, set to open in Turkey on Friday, feeds off the increasingly negative feelings many Turks harbor toward their longtime NATO allies: Americans.

The movie, which reportedly cost some $10 million, is the latest in a new genre of popular culture that demonizes the United States. It comes on the heels of a novel called Metal Storm about a war between Turkey and the U.S., which has been a best seller for months."

The movie's American stars are Billy Zane, who plays a self-professed peacekeeper sent by God, and Gary Busey as the Jewish-American doctor

  WTF??!
MiamiHerald.com | 02/02/2006 | Bush aides clarify statements about oil: "WASHINGTON - One day after President Bush vowed to reduce America's dependence on Middle East oil by cutting imports from there 75 percent by 2025, his energy secretary and national economic advisor said Wednesday that the president didn't mean it literally.

What the president meant, they said in a conference call with reporters, was that alternative fuels could displace an amount of oil imports equivalent to most of what America is expected to import from the Middle East in 2025.

But America still would import oil from the Middle East, because that's where the greatest oil supplies are.

The president's State of the Union reference to Mideast oil made headlines nationwide Wednesday because of his assertion that ''America is addicted to oil'' and his call to ``break this addiction.''

Bush vowed to fund research into better batteries for hybrid vehicles and more production of the alternative fuel ethanol, setting a lofty goal of replacing ``more than 75 percent of our oil imports from the Middle East by 2025.''

He pledged to ``move beyond a petroleum-based economy and make our dependence on Middle Eastern oil a thing of the past.''"

BREITBART.COM - Papers Accidentally Release Customer Data: "The Boston Globe and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette said slips containing the names and credit card numbers of as many as 240,000 subscribers of both newspapers were accidentally delivered with bundles of papers last weekend in Worcester.

Officials of the newspapers, both owned by the New York Times Co., said Tuesday they were notifying customers of the mistake.

'We deeply value the trust our subscribers place in us and we are working diligently to remedy this unfortunate situation,' said Richard H. Gilman, publisher of The Boston Globe, in a written statement. 'Immediate steps have been taken internally at the Globe and Telegram & Gazette to increase security around credit card reporting.'

The Telegram & Gazette said the slips also contained routing information for 1,100 of its customers who pay by check.

The financial data was on the back side of paper that had inadvertently been recycled and used for routing slips in 9,000 bundles of the Sunday Telegram & Gazette distributed to retailers and new"

Can the EUnuchs have found a battle they are willing to fight?!

This could be big; I don’t think will be, however I guess I am just a cock-eyed optimist. Ignoring the fact that Europe’s standing military forces are a hollow mockery of an Armed Forces; the European’s are adamantly unwilling to engage the Islamist threat directly in the first place.

However we are seeing paper after paper running the reprints of the Danish cartoons that started the whole thing.

Michelle Malkin is mirroring the offending cartoons here.

Once/if the majority of the papers in the EU have run the cartoons, what will the permanently aggrieved Arab Street do? Either they are going to have to completely divest from doing any business with any country that ran the cartoons, or just sit and grumble in their beards and shake their fists at the evil infidels.

While I am in moon-eyed optimist mode, how about Bush’s initial toe dipping into the waters of ME oil independence? Setting a goal of independence from ME oil by the year 2025.

I have incredible doubts as to the Fed’s ability to change the course of domestic energy consumption. However the concept is solid, and rather bold for an oil man.
IF the West can develop a new core energy source to replace oil as our de facto source of energy. Well then, it would be quite nice to let the Islamists sit back and eat their oil. Leaving them to their own devices and justly deserved fates.

BBC NEWS | Europe | Muhammad cartoon row intensifies: "Newspapers across Europe have reprinted caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to show support for a Danish paper whose cartoons have sparked Muslim outrage.

France Soir, Germany's Die Welt, La Stampa in Italy and El Periodico in Spain all carried some of the drawings.

Their publication in Denmark has led to protests in Arab nations, diplomatic sanctions and death threats.

Islamic tradition bans depictions of the Prophet, but media watchdogs defend press freedom to publish the images.

Reporters Without Borders said the reaction in the Arab world 'betrays a lack of understanding' of press freedom as 'an essential accomplishment of democracy.'

'Sense of sacred'

In Berlin, the prominent daily Die Welt ran a front-page caricature of the prophet wearing a headdress shaped like a bomb.

The paper argued there was a right to blaspheme in the West, and asked whether Islam was capable of coping with satire."

I wish Johnny were still alive so we could ask him what he thinks about this, however, in this case I think I captured the essential message he would want to communicate to the Religion of Peaceful Co-Existance.

**update:
Junkyard Blog makes an excellent observation regarding the previous groups that had been intimidated into submission by the Islamists.

LGF finds Italy and Spain are jumping on the wagon as well.

Tammy Bruce has some cogent obervations also.

The ROP has phoned in another bombthreat to the newspaper.
