MPAA embraces Canabalism
See the great sucsess that the RIAA has had in stopping P2P by suing their customer base, the MPAA decided to follow suit. The ironic part of this is that all they are doing is further pushing P2P into the mainstream, heh.
Wired News: Movie Lawsuits on the Way
: "As expected, the movie industry said Thursday that it will begin suing film fans who share copyright movies online, following the get-tough strategy of the music labels.
Dan Glickman, president and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, said that its member studios will file lawsuits beginning Nov. 16 and will seek damages and injunctive relief. Knowingly distributing copyright films carries penalties of up to $150,000 per film."
